Haute Couture exhibit....A vintage girl's dream.

Yet another fantastic exhibit has surfaced in the world of fashion and costume. The Musee' Galleria in Paris hosts "Paris Haute Couture" a portion of the museums archives of fantastic one of a kind pieces of fashion history. Mr. Charles Frederick Worth was the pioneer of haute couture at the end of the 19th century. The business of Haute Couture became a revolution in the world of fashion, breaking the mold from the ready-to-wear fashions available in the newly established department stores. The made to measure and personality of each garment was special and unique to each customer. 1. dress by Balenciaga 1967 2. dress by Bruyere 1944 3. dress by Christian Dior 1952 4. detail by Jerome 1925 5. dress by Jean Patou 1925 6. dress by Jeanne Lanvin 1934 7. dresa by Paul Poiret 1908 8. dress by Alaia 1990 9. dress by Charles Worth 1895 photos courtesy of en.vogue.fr
