Marchesa/Erickson Beamon Trunk Show

Wednesday, was a fabulous fashion filled day at the Marchesa/Erickson Beamon Trunk show!
Rack and racks of the most divine couture by Marchesa, and various designer pieces from Marissa Collections. Marissa Hartington of Marissa Collections so graciously gave me the backstory of Marchesa designs. Marchesa, was launched in 2004 by actress/model/designer Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. The line was named after the famous socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati who was most known for her eccentric taste and antics. In 2006 Marchesa was named one of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists. How lucky for us, Marchesa will show this Spring for the annual Nashville Symphony Spring Fashion Show.

The Spring Fashion Show trunk show event also hosted the famed Erickson Beamon jewelry collection! You may remember the name from their recent Target collaboration. My new pal, Monique Erickson showcased a gorgeous array of some of the most delectable pieces of jewelry I have ever laid eyes on. You have definitely seen their pieces on the likes of Lady Gaga, Daphne Guinness and Michelle Obama to name a very very few.

The event was the perfect kickoff to the Spring Fashion Show, I cannot wait to see the presentation!

Might as well face it I'm addicted to clothes...

Since, I have vowed to save my pennies, I have developed a new shopping tactic

1. I shop around the store, pick up every beautiful expensive thing I can find
2. Hightail it to the fitting room IPHONE in hand
3. Take crappy photos of myself trying on beautiful expensive things
4. Properly hang each garment
5. Hand the garments to the fitting room attendant
6. Feel Happy that that I indeed wore the clothes, if even for a brief moment
7. Pat myself on the back for saving myself $500 +


You might call it tacky, I call it tactical and practical.
