How long have you lived in Nashville? I have lived here for 6 years
What is your favorite Nashville spot? The red trail at Warner Park
Who is your favorite Nashvillian? I guess I'm supposed to say some famous musician... nah... my grandfather, George Traywick, an all around lover of the arts, animals and a good strong drink.

If there is anything you need to know about me, it is that I am truly obsessed with everything Anna Sui!! The other day while looking through one of my various home decorating magazines, I found an article about the man responsible for all of Anna Sui's amazing mannequins. Ralph Pucci designs all sorts of mannequins some of the most amazing works of art you have ever seen. In 1997 he and Anna Sui collaborated on the mannequins that have even become the faces of her "Dolly Girl" perfume collection. Here is Ralph Pucci's statement on his project with Anna Sui.
"Anna had always collected antique hat forms with naive painted faces. When she opened her first boutique in 1992, Anna and some of her friends fashioned dozens of paper mache "dolly heads" in the style of those original flea-market heads. These handmade versions still live at the Anna Sui boutiques, decorating the counters and displaying accessories. Very quickly, the "Dolly Head" became a signature for Anna Sui."

Ok, not to get all geek fan and stuff, but yesterday Meg White came into my work. I started working part time at an antique store, and it is generally slow at the moment (thank you recession). I mostly read books and perch on the comfy 18th century chairs waiting for 5 o'clock to roll around. I was in my said position in the back of the store reading "My Life with with My sister Madonna" Madonna's brother's biography (damn that Madonna is a bitch) When I hear the door open. It is almost 5 and I dizzily get up out of my chair to greet the customer, much to my haziness, it was none other than Meg White. It took me a minute to register, then I realized it was indeed her. She was so sweet and very engaging. I thought to myself should I say something, or should I not? I opted to say something because it is not every day that you encounter a Meg White.
So I said "you are Meg White aren't you?" ...she said "Yes" then I told her that she was a big inspiration of mine, and she was very sweet about it. we talked a bit more before another customer came in. Yeah I kind of geeked out, but I really love the White Stripes so I don't really care!!!

Not the kind with wings...Angels is the largest Costumier in THE WORLD. They supply costumes and accessories for theater, television, film etc. This fabulous archive of clothing is located in England. Just their film and tv stock alone is 160,000 sq.ft
The pictures from my last post, was from a sale that they have only done once. They basically opened up their archive to the public for the first time and let them have at it. Costumes from Star Wars were part of the piles and piles of awesomness. Needless to say the line was around the building and people were fighting for the good stuff.
To name a few, the most recent films Angels worked on were Across The Universe, Atonement, Elizabeth The Golden Age*, La Vie En Rose** and Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.
