Betsey Johnson NFW @ The Arcade Downtown
The Ladies of Betsey Johnson Nashville styled a perfectly pink punk show Wednesday night! After many years of working for and collecting Betsey pieces it fascinates me that every piece sent down the runway is still so fresh and on the pulse of fashion today!
Rag & Bone trunk show @ H. Audrey Boutique
Before last night's shows I snuck by H. Audrey to view the Rag & Bone spring 2011 collection! The presentation was beautifully executed by H. Audrey owner/chanteuse Holly Williams and the Rag & Bone NYC crew. If you aren't in the know, Rag & Bone won last year's CFDA award for menswear designer of the year. But have no fear ladies, the womens wear line is off the charts cool! wearable garments, simplicity in form with a bit of edge there is something in this collection for everyone.

The Halston Archives.
Yesterday marked the first day of Nashville Fashion Week. The very first thing on my "Fashion agenda" was a visit to Lipscomb University for the Halston Archive presentation. I have anticipated viewing this collection for quite some time now. In fact you can read my original post from 2008 HERE . When first I heard that Nashville had procured one of the largest Halston archives, I was not only stunned but incredibly excited! As a vintage clothing dealer, just to be close to something of that caliber gives me goose bumps all over.
I adored the gowns but my favorite portion of the exhibit was the original editorials and press clippings with images of Pat Cleveland and Marisa Berenson donning Halston.
Not to forget the original patterns cut for the likes of Liza Minelli and Martha Graham.
make this a stop on your NFW calendar this week.

High Class Hillbilly
After hearing the news of Elizabeth Taylor's death, I had to begin my marathon of watching Liz Taylor movies. I am halfway through the movie "Giant" and am so in love with the cowgirl costuming.
Speaking of cowgirl costuming, I went to the Grand Opening of Cary Kotsionis and Nikki Lane Plunkett's new vintage shop "High Class Hillbilly." Loving their rustic, cowpoke aesthetic, curated to perfection! Go check out their fabulous assortment of handbags, hats and badass boots
