Nashville Symphony Spring 2013 Fashion Show featuring Monique Lhuillier

Every year the Nashville Symphony hosts the most anticipated fashion event in town, The Nashville Symphony Spring Fashion Show. This year's presentation featured Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2013 collection hosted by Gus Mayer. Lhuillier's inspiration for fall 2013 drew from objects found in nature such as spider webs and malachite gemstones. It is apparent in her  focus on precision digital prints and texture. I have posted some of my very favorites from the collection...enjoy!

Big thanks to the Nashville Symphony & Laurie Davis

This is the Joint

In case you haven't noticed Nashville is on the radar for some amazing fashion folks lately...hello Grace Coddington, Andre Leon Talley and Sally Lyndley to name a few.  In addition to the people of fashion gracing our stage, are the iconic fashion images curated by Susan Sherrick and Libby  Callaway for their latest endeavor "The Joint."  The joint is a new series of pop up art shows with themed concepts. Being that we are in the midst of Nashville Fashion Week, the pair cleverly picked fashion photography as the first theme for their showcase. Images by  Richard Avedon, William Klein, Horst P. Horst and many others. This is seriously one of the coolest and low key installations of some of fashion's most iconic photos. A must see!

Shopping Night Out Afterparty, Nashville Fashion Week Day 3

Yesterday's evening festivities were held at Kocktails and Kouture, a new concept boutique in the Gulch. The Bodden sisters have juxtapositioned a women's boutique within a nightclub setting which makes for a rather glamourous vibe!

Nashville Fashion Week Industry Panels

Yesterday afternoon,  Nashville Fashion Week hosted a 3 part Industry panel with some incredibly renowned veterans of the fashion world. I was lucky enough to catch two of the three discussions "Music City Retail  Rocks" and "Look Sharp, Selling the Image"  The discussions were incredibly inspiring and informative, in fact I walked away with an extra skip in my fashion loving step.
