Destination Manifestation.

I totally believe in manifestation. I have, many times had a vision of something that I wanted to find at a thrift store and I totally find it. Sometimes it happens instantaneously, other times it takes some time. I have found so many covetable things that I still to this day cannot believe I have found at a thrift store.

Recently, I have found two things that I have been searching for, for a long time. Firstly, I found the book "Candy" by Terry Southern. I posted a while back about wanting to find something having to do with the movie. The book is out of print and not easy to find as it was banned in many places. It is interesting because the book says Candy by M. which is the initial for Southern's pseudonym Maxwell Kenton.

The best find so far was the bathing suit that Chloe Sevigny wore in the movie "Gummo." From the moment I saw that movie I have been searching high and low for a bathing suit with a tiger on the front. I finally found THE EXACT bathing suit at Music City Thrift this summer!

There are so many other items that I am searching for, I have no doubt that they will surface one day.

While on the bubbly seas I decided to reread "The Beautiful Fall"
the glamour the glory the rivalry and the refusal to be anything other than Extravagant, inspires me sooo much!
This book brings you on such a journey and makes you wish you were alive during such a time. One character that I admire a lot is Anna Piaggi. I absolutley love her fearless style and flair for all things odd. Not to mention this lady has an endless eclectic wardrobe that according to the Victoria and Albert Museum holds 2865 dresses and 265 shoes and counting. My kinda gal!!

Cruise with me baby...

I'm back!!! I had such a blast on my trip! We stopped in the Cayman's, Belize,Mexico and Honduras. Roatan was by far the best stop!!! the views were absolutely breathtaking. Here are some photos from my adventure! I will post my fashion obsession of the trip tomorrow!!

So, I'll be away from the blog for a little while. Me and my beau are road tripping/thrifting all the way down to Tampa FL and from there we are hopping on an 8 day cruise to Mexico, Belize, Cayman Islands and Costa Rica. Not sure if there is internet on the cruise ship, I will try to update as much as I can.

book nerd.

I confess, I am obsessed with books! Recently, while reading the Zoe Report I began to realize that not only am I proud of my wardrobe collection, I am pretty darn proud of my book collection too!! Today I found the most amazing books to add to my collection. "EDIE" An American Biography: by Jean Stein, in metallic Paperback! The coolest book "Visual Aid", an awesome photography book from the 80's with Warhol Polaroids in the back! I also found A vintage guide to Japanese Shiatsu massage...
