Music to the eyes.

I am a sucker for a good fashion show. Yep, I am the girl with goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes the moment the lights lower and the first model hits the stage. This year's Nashville Symphony fashion show marks my third year in attendance for this decadent affair. I love spectating because It is the one night of the year Nashvillians can truly sparkle in their finest couture and did they ever. I think we have Nordstrom, our favorite retail giant and hosts of the evening to blame for the finery of this event's patrons. Speaking of finery, news of Oscar de la Renta showing his pre fall 2012 collection sent my fashion heart aflutter. In my opinion everything created by Oscar turns to gold, and this evenings show was no exception. The clothes sent down the runway were a combination of classic de la Renta and modern chic with an aim for a the fashion youth. The classic feeling came through with twin sets, pleats and refined silhouettes, while the modern side of things exuded in the juxtaposition of both print, tweed and variations on silhouettes that define the house of O.
Perhaps the shows best quality was the gorgeous finale of candy colored and gilded metallic gowns. I think the audience would a agree the end of the show was Music to the eyes.

Thank you to The Nashville Symphony, Laurie Davis and the staff at Nordstrom for their generosity and impeccable work.
