Los Vestidos de Frida Kahlo
I don't know about you guys but I am pretty obsessed with closets. I love the fact that we are living in an age where there is such an appreciation for the way people not only dress themselves, but also the way they store their clothes. After all, the closet is where the fun of dressing oneself begins. I was elated to find out that after 58 years of being shut, Frida Kahlo's closet has finally been opened to be revealed in an exhibition at the Museo de Frida Kahlo! The contents of her closet not only includes her opulent and ethnic garb but hundreds of personal items, personal photographs, love letters, medications, jewelry and shoes. According to the curator there are articles of clothing that still hold the smell of perfume and the last cigarette she smoked.
The exhibition is curated by Circe Henestrosa and sponsored by Vogue Mexico.
