After reading "The Beautiful Fall" twice I have become quite obsessed with designers and their muses. \
Karl Lagerfeld has had a slew of muses throughout his years as a designer.
Antonio Lopez,
Donna Jordan,
Ines de la Fressange,
Jacques de Bascher de Beaumarchais,
Baptiste Giabiconi,
Pat Cleveland to name a very few.
When I was living in NYC my best friend Natalie was part of the Karl entourage for a hot minute. Natalie was working for Libertine at the time and Karl was a huge fan of the company. He began frequenting the studio and inviting the crew to all of his events in New York. Karl's assistant at the time took a great liking to Natalie and she was swept off into Lagerfeld Land. I did her makeup (my other job) for one of the great parties he invited her too, it was like preparing the princess for the ball!
