Robert Farber

Yesterday on one of my digs, I found the most beautiful and rare print by photographer Robert Farber!
Robert Farber began his career in photography by incident. He quotes "While I was still in school, I was walking on the beach one day when a saw a woman who weighed about 400 pounds. She was wearing a string bikini and knitting. I said to myself, “Boy, I wish I had a camera.” Sounds like my kinda guy! That defining moment prompted him to buy a 35 mm Petri and there began his successful career. To date he has published 9 coffee table books and won countless awards for his photographic efforts. I, personally appreciate his work, for his raw aesthetic, photographing the subject as a natural being. His work is reminiscent to that of my favorite photographer of all time David Hamilton (read that post here). I have to say I am quite proud of myself for amassing such a wonderful collection of rare prints by some of my favorite obscure photographers. And the fact that I have paid pennies for them makes it all the better
