Gone Country.

Last summer I was scouted by a local prop stylist to use some of my vintage clothing archive collection for some dressing room scenes in the new movie "Country Strong." I finally saw the movie yesterday and was so excited to see some of my collection on the big screen! The collection is scattered throughout the movie, however, there is one scene where they are more prominent "Kelly" (Gwyneth Paltrow) is throwing a fit in her dressing room and falls on the floor, she is literally swimming in my clothes! YIPPEEE! The movie overall is not an epic film but, it is super cool to see some familiar sights and faces with a storyline based on our fair city. It made me appreciate Nashville as a city a little more and It inspired me to begin taking full advantage of the amazing things Nashville has to offer. First on my list of things to do is hit up the Tammy Wynette exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

While I'm on the subject of awesome things Nashville has to offer I ran across a copy of Jim McGuire's book "Nashville Portraits"
at my local Goodwill. This is a true gem of a book and the fact that I got it for a mere $2.99 is pure luck!
Jim McGuire has captured some of the most amazing and iconic pictures of our country stars.
